The SMART panel is a revolutionary product of the Home Done construction system, which is based on the use of two raw materials: steel and expanded polystyrene (EPS). The SMART panel has been designed to be a reinforced wall capable of guaranteeing the same mechanical performance as a reinforced concrete structure without the use of concrete, therefore a completely dry system.
The SMART panel has a structure in reinforced EPS, a composite material made up of a three-dimensional, high-resistance, electro-welded galvanised steel wire structure, which is then incorporated in the high-density (45 Kg/m³) self-extinguishing and chemically inert EPS sintering.
The SMART panel can be used for all construction needs, guaranteeing a faster, more economical and lighter drywall solution than traditional construction solutions.
JOINTS
The housing units are obtained by connecting the panels in sequence through an innovative coupling system, simple and resistant, which makes the structure with SMART panels versatile and modular. The assembly operations do not require specialised labour or equipment as the adjacent panels are connected simply by using a single key.
The SMART panel is versatile and can be used as a structural panel as well as a partition and curtain wall panel.
Panel size, thickness, and EPS density can be adjusted as required.

It is also possible to vary some characteristics of the reinforced cage inside the panel.
For structural panels, the internal reinforcement can consist of 2 meshes or 4 meshes with 100 mm pitch and with sets of double connectors every 100 mm or 200 mm. SMART structural panels can also be further reinforced by adding longitudinally arranged steel bars to the cage.
SMART panels can be clad with any type of material, from simple plaster to wooden or plastic slats, fibre cement, plasterboard, etc. The cladding is fixed to the bars integrated in the panel reinforcement with simple self-drilling screws, allowing for a strong and structural fixing.
