The SMART Seismothermal Coat is an innovative coating system for existing buildings that not only increases the thermal efficiency of the building, but also consolidates it and, in the event of an earthquake, avoids the collapse of traditional brick infill. The cladding consists of a cage made up of two electro-welded galvanized steel wire meshes connected together by steel connectors. The cage is equipped with brackets for anchoring the panels and is integrated into the high-density EPS sintering. Installation takes place by positioning the panel against the wall, inserting special ETAG-2020 certified fixing plugs at a rate of at least 6 per sqm, ensuring a suitable depth of anchorage in the healthy part of the wall support and fixing the panels together using the special anchor brackets. The installation is completed as a common coat, with finishing plaster.
